Nuix donates $44,000 to Room to Read following success of made-for-charity product Proof Finder


On Thursday April 26, Nuix CEO, Eddie Sheehy, donated $44,000 to Room to Read, a global non-profit organization that seeks to transform the lives of children in the developing world by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. The donation will help fund the construction of a new building at a primary school in Nepal and the publication of local-language books for schools.

The donation is the first installment from Proof Finder, a product Nuix released in 2011 as a philanthropic venture. Proof Finder is an advanced eDiscovery software tool for lawyers and investigators priced at $100 per year with 100% of proceeds going to Room to Read. This venture has raised $44,000 to date with further sales almost every day.

Following the success of the initial Proof Finder campaign, Nuix has made the product available until it reaches the goal of raising $100,000 for Room to Read.

current situation
Established in 1989, the school currently consists of two buildings, comprising a total of eight rooms. Of these, six are used as classrooms, one serves as an office and one houses the library. All the existing buildings are in satisfactory condition.

Room to Read is constructing a two-story, four-room building in the school compound to help alleviate overcrowding in the classrooms; no existing buildings will be demolished.

Among them, three rooms will be used as classrooms, and one will be established as a library.
